Our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Iris Kay Johnson Holliman passed away on 12/24/13, after a courageous battle with inflammatory breast cancer. She remained strong and positive for her family and friends throughout. She loved the Christmas season, so Christmas Eve was the perfect time for her to return to her Heavenly Father. Iris enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything. Her grandchildren loved coming over to Grandma Iris' house to hang out, watch true crime TV and enjoy the best snacks and unlimited pop. Everyone she met would hear about her 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Iris gained a strong testimony of the Gospel and she especially loved her ward.
Iris is survived by her children, Shawna Bennett Pinedale WY, Chad (Tawna) Woolley Murray UT, Laura Marshall Lehi UT and Mike (Angie) Weis Spanish Fork UT; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings, Lynn (Debbie) Johnson, Barbara (Ron) Brooks, Boyd (MaryLou) Johnson, Mont (Julie) Johnson, Carol (Don) Bryant and Alice (Jim) Walker; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Letha Hutchings Johnson, and her father, Leland Charles Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 12/28/13, at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah. A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Springville City Cemetery, 200 East 400 South, Springville, Utah.
