Henry Taylor Reynolds III (Taylor) age 88, our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died May 13, 2009. Taylor was born on February 24, 1921 to Henry Taylor Reynolds II and Vilate Knudsen Reynolds. He grew up in Springville, a town that he loved and his great-grandparents helped to settle. Taylor graduated from Springville High School where he was active in student government and sports. He attended the University of Utah and Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in business. He loved both schools and could just as easily cheer for the red as he could for the blue.
Taylor loved his Father in Heaven and was always active in the church. He served and LDS mission to Houston, Texas. He also held many callings in the church including Sunday School President, High Councilor, and Bishop.
Taylor worked for the Reynolds Construction Company. He later owned and operated Kolob Lumber Co. for over forty years. He served as a member of the Springville City Council and the Board of Directors of Central Bank. In all of his business relationships, Taylor, was a man of integrity.
In 1946, Taylor married Beverlee Lucille Graham, a woman he loved dearly, and who he had baptized into the LDS Church. They were happily married for 64 years and had three children: Henry Taylor Reynolds IV (Susan), Judith Reynolds Nielson (Carl), and Sydney Reynolds Price (Jerry).
Taylor was a very kind and loving man. He will be remembered for the way he greeted friends and family each time they entered his home: "Come in, come in!" accompanied by a warm gesture of his arm to indicate that while in his home, you were welcome to anything he could give you. He loved to be around people - especially the members of his family. He was so proud of each of them and would insist on hearing the stories behind even the smallest of their accomplishments. His kindness and his positive attitude will be his legacy.
Taylor is survived by his wife, Beverlee; one sister, Nanna Lee (Pace); his three children; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard K. Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 18 at 11 a.m. in the Third Ward Church located on 350 East Center Street in Springville. A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. in Springville and on Monday, May 18 at the church one hour before the funeral.
