Henry Werner Bismark was called home on Monday, May 9, 2011 with his family by his side after fighting a valiant battle. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Nadine Burt Bismark and three daughters: Cathy (Allen) Pace, Margie (Bruce) Taylor, and Charlotte Bismark; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Hank made his living as a trucker, working for Rio Grand and Garret Truck Lines. He received two one million miler pins with no accidents. He also served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was active in the LDS Church and held many offices. Hank loved to fish and hunt and was good at both. He loved to build things and was a very good carpenter. He remodeled the house that they live in. He was a good gardener and loved tomatoes even after he gave up the big garden he always had tomatoes planted somewhere. He planted peach trees and made sure everyone had lots of peaches. He loved to walk and walked all over Springville.
Services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Stake Center, 245 S. 600 E., Springville. There will be a viewing held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., and Thursday at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
