1925 ~ 2013
Heber LaVar Cloward was born November 17, 1925, to Heber C. and Sarah Myrtle Huggins Cloward in Magna, UT. His family moved a lot while he was growing up but eventually settled in Provo, UT. He learned at a young age to work hard: picking fruit, driving truck, at a garage, and in the grocery business. He served in the Army at Fort Knox during World War II. He married Donna Deane Duke in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 28, 1948. Their children are: James (Ginny, Springville), Mary Deane (Kirk Baggaley) West Valley, David (Susan) Spanish Fork, Julie (Micah DeMaranville) Taylorsville, Steven (Peggy, Orem), John Byron (LaRee) Tooele, Paul (Corinne) Eagle Mountain, and Kristen (Lyn Averett) Springville. They lived for many years in Springville, UT. He loved people and could talk to anyone. After his retirement, he served for 18 years as a temple worker at the Provo Temple. After his wife passed away, he married LaVon Davidson, April 27, 2007. We appreciate the loving relationship they enjoyed for the past six years and the care she gave him during his fight with cancer which ended March 5, 2013.
LaVar is preceded in death by his parents, many brothers and sisters, his wife Donna Deane, and his sons James and Steven. He is loved by many and will be missed by his family and posterity.
