Heather Gabbitas Tilton, 49 of Orem Utah passed away on Nov 16th 2022. She was born April 5, 1973, to Michael and Beverly Gabbitas. She married Aaron Tilton her high school sweetheart on Jun 4, 1998, in the Timpanogos Temple.
Heather was a creative, funny, free spirit who loved an underdog. She loved animals probably more than people. She loved art, anything eclectic and weird. She loved music that touched her soul especially while on a swing she insisted was installed in her bedroom. Heather sometimes had her own language of ”Heatherisms”.
She had a gentle, sweet kiss, she loved to hike in the mountains where she collected lots of things especially rocks in the shape of a heart. She had her own “signs”, her favorite was a hummingbird stencils she would spray paint in random places. She usually wore a sundress with converse or vans shoes and was a beautiful woman.
She loved camping with her family as a young girl, and certainly was a daddy’s girl. Her mom was her biggest cheerleader and championed her through school as she struggled with a learning disability. Her siblings Mike Gabbitas, Abby Gardner and Kami Curtis were constant fixtures in her life. They spent time together for vacations in Lake Powell, Sunday dinners and always on Christmas eve.
She met Aaron at the age of 15 and 10 years later they were married. They both often forgot to celebrate their marriage anniversary but usually instead celebrated the anniversary of their first date. They had two children she adored, Lydia Tilton and Gabe Tilton. She loved being a mother, raising her kids, that’s when she was at her best.
