1915~2013
Harriett Brinton Miner, age 97, of Springville, passed away Wednesday February, 20, 2013. She was born September 24, 1915 in Springville, Utah to David Piersol Brinton and Josephine Gammell. She married Floyd Lee Miner on June 21, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death February 2, 1991.
Harriett is survived by her four children: David Lee Miner, Collette Prothero, and Jim Miner of Springville, Robert Miner of Lucas, Texas and over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Harriett spent hours making quilts and playing cards with her close friends. Their service blessed many lives in local hospitals and other countries.
Harriett enjoyed life to the fullest. She traveled the world and made lasting relationships along the way. For many years she enjoyed camping with the Pack Rats. She loved to play golf.
She was often found at the T-bone where she enjoyed eating and visiting. She worked there for many years when it was known as Le Mars cafe. She was always in the stands at softball, baseball, dance competitions, swim meets, music concerts, gymnastics, football and rodeo. She knew which kids were hers and she recognized a bad call and a poor umpire as well.
Harriet loved a house full of friends and family, the famous Christmas breakfast where sourdough pancakes were devoured and there were gifts for all her grandchildren. She loved shopping for each and every one of them.
Her sense of humor, her love of life and her putting skills will never be forgotten. She left a legacy that will live on forever through her many family and friends. She was truly loved by ALL who knew her.
The Family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Nancy Trapnell and Hayley Hansen for their hours of service.
