Harold S Collings

April 13, 1942 — August 4, 2022

Harold S. Collings of Springville passed away peacefully at home at the age of 80 on Thursday, August the 4th 2022.

He was born a twin, 5 of 9 children, to Ferron and Eva Collings. He grew up in Orem until he joined the Army at age 17.

After the Army he graduated Barber College while working at Geneva Steel. He married Margaret Todhunter and had four children. They later divorced.

He was introduced to and married Diane Guthrie, bringing four more children into his family.

After Geneva Steel he worked and retired from Mountain View High School where he was a lead custodian.

He really enjoyed retirement, spending time with his family, winning bingo at the Senior Center, and sometimes being mistaken as Santa.

He would want each of you to "write (home) if you find work."

Harold is preceded in death by Robert (son), Garold (twin brother), Lyn (sister), Dennis (brother), Lee (sister) and Logann (daughter-in-law).

Survived by; his loving and devoted wife of 33 years Diane, and his Children, Evanne, Bonnie, John (Laura), Dovie (Mathew), Max (Liz), Rex (Netta), and Alex, his Siblings Jerri, Brenda, Pat, Bruce (Shirley), and Odell and dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at the LDS Church located on 1230 South 500 East in Springville, with a viewing held that morning from 9:00-10:30 am prior to the services.
