1993 ~ 2012
Haley Nicole Stonehocker, born November 7th, 1993 in Provo, Utah to Eldon and Cynthia Stonehocker, passed away peacefully in her home on October 11th, 2012 after a two year long battle with Gastroparesis. Haley was born with beautiful big blue eyes and curly blonde hair. She had a spunky personality and loved a good joke. She was nurtured and loved by her brothers and sister and had many cherished friends.
With little formal training Haley mastered the piano and accompanied various choirs. She was a very talented dancer, singer, and soccer player, but her true passion was track. Haley had a gentle and tender spirit and an enormous love for her nieces and nephews. She always made time for them. Despite her illness she was able to earn her diploma from Maple Mountain High in 2012. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a Seminary graduate. Her brief time on earth was lovingly and passionately filled with family, friends and numerous interests and activities. She especially loved and was very appreciative of her doctors and nurses that cared for her at Mountain View Hospital, Primary Children's Hospital, and Nationwide Hospital. Her greatest desire was an increased awareness of Gastroparesis and the development of a cure to help others who suffer.
As a family we want to thank our friends and community for your generous contributions and support.
Haley is survived by her parents and her four siblings Brittany (Marshall) Hooper, Joseph (Lindsay) Stonehocker, Lance (Angela) Stonehocker, Ian Stonehocker and her nieces and nephew Libby, Indie, and Izaiah. She is also survived by her grandparents Richard and Cindy Price and Lavern Stonehocker. She was preceded in death by her 2 grandfathers, Joseph Stonehocker and Dennis Harris Marriott.
