Glennita Moir Ollerton

Glennita Moir Ollerton, age 88 of Springville, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007 surrounded by all of her family. She was born October 19, 1918 in Bellevue, Idaho to Andrew John and Agnes Young Moir. She married Carlyle H. Ollerton on July 3, 1937. He preceded her in death December 6, 1981. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo Temple after his passing.



Glennita enjoyed crocheting and her handiwork placed first at the Utah State Fair. She enjoyed making ceramics for herself, family and friends. Bowling was a special past time. She was an excellent mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she loved spending time with her family. She was employed by BYU as a clerk in Student Housing until retirement. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various auxiliaries. Glennita was an avid sports fan, supporting friends and family on high school and BYU teams.



She is survived by her children: Marilyn Gustin, Gerald (Christine) Ollerton, Patricia Ann McRae, Kathleen (Ed) Krafchow, Randy (Kaylene) Ollerton, Teri Sue Ollerton (Birel Vaughn); 29 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlyle; four sisters: Mary, Helen, Faye, and Gwen; and one son-in-law, John Gustin.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Center Street LDS Chapel at 355 East Center in Springville. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville or Saturday at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
