George Herbert Savage, born Dec 4, 1937 in SLC, UT died Oct 26, 2014 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland Fay and Maud Johnson Savage, his sister Josephine Diana, his wife Norma Lee Savage, and their daughter Diana Lynn Savage.
George married Norma Joyce Strebel, and together they have lived in many places throughout the United States making many friends along the way. George was a carpenter/superintendent in construction for many years. He loved working with wood, and was very talented. Many people were blessed with his gift, with items both practical and fun.
George loved to fish and spend time with family and friends doing it. George served in the USAF as cryptographer.
George is survived by his sons: Leland (Ann-Marie), Mathew (Amanda) Kelly, Ronald and Gerald Strebel; daughter, Kaylynn Strebel Moran; four sisters: Lyla Black, Bonnie Vanderhoek, Maudine Adams and Rebecca Young. He had twenty one grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the Springville 9th Ward, 875 W Center St. Springville, UT. Viewing will be at the church Saturday only, 10 - 11:45 a.m. Funeral 12:00 p.m., burial in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
