Garth L Johnson born August 15, 1960 died February 28, 2014. Garth was raised in Mapleton Utah. Married Judy Kindred from Fillmore Utah, June 16, 1984, sealed in the Provo LDS Temple June 16, 2008. Garth loved his 2 children, Megan & Seth very much. Garth had 3 grandchildren Braxton, Aspin (Whom he delivered on the mountain) and Cheyenne, all whom he adores.
He loved the outdoors. Hunting was his favorite enjoyment. He had many hunting and fishing stories His children followed in his footsteps in learning how to hunt & fish spending many hours together doing so.
Garth had health problems that cause much pain and suffering. But with his strong faith and testimony of the gospel he was able to endure. We know he is finally pain free and preparing the way to be with his family again.
He served in the in the US Army and Utah National Guard.
Garth is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Megan (Terry) Strasburg and Seth; Grandchildren, Braxton, Aspin, and Cheyenne all of Springville; His brother Jeff (Yvonne) of Santaquin; his father Elmo of Bicknell and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lenna.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Kolob 5 th Ward, 2557 Dalton Dr, Springville, UT. Viewings will be held on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, and Wednesday, 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
