Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Flora Chesnut, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 5, 2013.

The first child of William LaVon and Fern Maxfield Chappell was born on June 20, 1925 in Lyman, Utah. She attended school in Wayne County, graduating from Wayne High School continuing on to business school.

She married Alma (Guy) Chesnut May 29, 1943 in Ely, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple February 28, 1946. They lived in several places in Utah, but settled in Springville to raise their five daughters. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved unconditionally. She served in many capacities in the LDS Church and was the perfect Bishop's wife twice. She loved a clean house, clean children, and a good meal. She loved to travel with Guy as a snowbird and was a great bowler, golfer, and enjoyed tole painting and handiwork. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and develop. She fought through many illnesses with dignity and fortitude.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Reid's Park Place that attended to her needs with kindness.

She is survived by siblings: Neva (Gerald) Hutchings, Dick (Myrna) Chappell, Craig Chappell, Eva Chappell, Sheldon (Irene) Chappell, and her five daughters and sons-in-law: Vicki (Ted) Murray, Sue Creer (Kent - deceased), Sheila (Jack) Daybell, Evelyn (Duane) Jensen, Teresa (Chris) Miller. She was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death b y her parents, her husband, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Aldus (Rayda) Chappell, Terry Chappell, DeIla Chappell, and a son-in-law Kent Creer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Springville 2 nd Ward building, 1785 East 400 South, Springville, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville and at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville.
