Faye Cowdell Scott

Faye was born November 8, 1925 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to parents Everard James Cowdell and Polly Estella Draper. She passed away on May 17, 2009.



Faye lived her youth in Copperton and graduated from Bingham High School in 1943. She married Keith Timothy. They later divorced.



Following her marriage to Rulon Scott they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in California, Arizona and Utah.



Faye enjoyed teaching the gospel of Christ and was active in the LDS Church. She especially enjoyed expressing her testimony through poetry.



Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rulon, and sisters Joan and Barbara. She is survived by son Richard (Janice) and stepchildren Steve (Judy), Carol (Dale), Joan (Jim), Donna (Mike), foster son Ralph, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Polly and Sherry, and brothers Keith, Marion and Frank.



Her funeral will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the LDS Chapel at 1200 N. 1100 W. in Mapleton. Viewing will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 82 W. 400 N. in Mapleton and at the church on Thursday at noon, prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contribute to a worthy charity.
