Evelyn Renee Nielson George, age 84, passed away August 1, 2014. Born December 6, 1929 in Marysvale, Utah to Walter E and Sarah Howes Nielson. She was married to the love of her life Gerald D George Jan 7, 1949 and was sealed to him in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 2011.
Renee loved caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes. She enjoyed music and teaching piano lessons. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Primary President, Relief Society President, Primary Teacher and in many other church callings.
Renee is survived by her seven sons. Steven (Judy) George, Scott (Melinda) George, Samuel (Barbara) George, Jared (Kathy) George, Matthew (Shelly) George, Paul (Brenda) George, Joshua (Susan) George; 30 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and grandson, Benjamin George.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Mapleton North Stake Center, 475 N 1600 W Mapleton Utah. Friends and family are invited to the viewing at 9:45 prior to the services. Burial will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
