Ernest L. Evans

Ernest L. Evans, was reunited with the love of his life on October 22, 2009. He was born November 19, 1919 to Earl Evans, Sr. and Bernice Smith Evans in Orem, UT. He attended school in Orem, UT. He married Shirley May Phillips on April 23, 1944. They later made their home in Provo, UT. He worked for Provo City in the Sanitation Department for 33 years. After retirement he and Shirley enjoyed traveling and fishing. After Shirley's death in 1996 he spent his time with family and friends.



Ernest is survived by his children: Ronnie L. Evans (Sheila Case), Phil Evans, Janice Evans Jiron, Sharon Evans Rasmussen, Danny B. Evans (Shanda Harris), Ray Evans (Brenda Madsen) and Greg Evans (De De Walker) along with twenty-three grandchildren, and thirty-two great grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, UT. Friends can meet with family on Monday, October 26, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. and an hour prior to funeral service on Tuesday at Wheeler Mortuary. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, UT.
