1920 ~ 2012
Our loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great and Great-Great Grandmother, rejoined her husband, George Leonard Brailsford on Sat. Nov. 24, 2012. She was born Jan. 14, 1920 in Benjamin, Utah, the oldest of eight children of Frank J. and Mary Jane Moore Hone. She attended school in Benjamin and Spanish Fork, Utah. She served in the primary and cub scouts for over 35 years. She was a member of the Camp Calico DUP where she served as captain and lesson leader for many years.
She married George Leonard Brailsford of Springville, Utah May 24, 1940, and were sealed Dec. 17, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised eight children on a farm in Benjamin: four boys and four girls. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress, and loved to crochet and knit.
She is survived by seven children: Ted (Betsy) Brailsford, Lynn (Ronald) Todhunter, Jean (Bob) Nelsen, Clydene (Joe) Bowen, Mark (Kaylene) Brailsford, Leslie Brailsford, Ruth (Kim) Killpack, and daughter-in-law, Fearn Brailsford; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Clyde Hone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her son, Ned, two brothers, four sisters, daughter-in-law, Kim and grandson Kenny Brailsford, and great-great grandchildren Alyssa Ann Gilson and Talon Bowen.
The family wished to thank the staff at Hearthstone Assisted Living and the hospice staff for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Stake Center, 245 S. 600 E., Springville. There will be a viewing Tues. evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville and Wed. at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Benjamin City Cemetery.
