Elaine Dunn Staheli, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on December 19, 2013 in Provo, Utah. In her last hours, she was able to say her last good-bye's to her children, grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and her loving husband Mel Staheli of 62 years.

Elaine was born on December 27, 1930 in Logan, Utah to Leslie Smith and Anne Mitton Dunn. She loved to ice-skate near the Logan Temple with her sisters and friends. Her family moved to Ogden, Utah where she graduated from Weber High School and made life long-friends.

Music played an important part in Elaine's life. She cherished the time spent singing with her sisters.

She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving as a temple worker and in many other capacities.

She met the love of her life, Mel, and they were married in the Logan Temple on June 1, 1951. They have 8 children, 39 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and devoted her life to caring for her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mel Staheli; her children John (Karen), Dave (Marlene), Kent (Ronda), Diane Freestone (Kevin), Susan Goodman (Dale), Kevin (Kendra). She was preceded in death by her daughters, Caralyn Shaw (Ron), Linda Hone (Gary), her parents, her sisters, Marjorie Boyce and Mary Staheli.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the LDS church on 1460 East 900 South, Springville. The viewing will be Sunday, December 22 nd , from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wheeler Mortuary 200 South 200 East, Springville, and Monday, December 23 rd at the church from 11:30 to 12:30 PM before the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
