Edward "Daddy Ted" Beach

d. December 18, 2013

1931~2013

On December 18, 2013, Edward LaVair Beach peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family and wife of 56 years, Marcia.

Edward was born on August 2, 1931 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Freda and LeRoy Beach (a rascal from Logan, UT). He was raised in Burbank, California along with his brothers Roy and Fred. Duty called and Ted proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps in the Korean War. Upon his return from combat, he met the love of his life, a Spanish Fork girl named Marcia Grace Fillmore. They were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on January 31, 1957. They settled and established a busy home in Santa Ana, California. Together, they raised 6 children in the gospel. Ted attended BYU and graduated from Long Beach State University. Ted was a Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff Department. Sergeant Beach served the public as a patrolman, photographer and fingerprint expert for over 30 years. After his retirement in 1988, Ted and his sweetheart moved to Springville, Utah. Still active, Ted enjoyed the good life. He spent his time reading, fixing and building things, watching western movies and eating Marcia's great home cooking.

Ted was greeted in the spirit world by his parents LeRoy and Freda Beach, and by his special brother, Fred Beach whom he loved and protected.

Daddy Ted is survived by his beloved wife Marcia, brother, Roy Beach and children Sandy & Dave, Richard & Buffie, Jay & Pattie, Paul & Susanne, Joel & Marcy, Chris & Nickell. At last count, Ted and Marcia had 28 grandkids and 19 great-grandkids.

Out of respect, his sons lowered his yard flag to half mast. Daddy Ted, we love you and are thankful for your strong mind, soft heart and special sense of humor. Now take off your pack and stand at ease. We will miss you Tater Bum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests supporting Shop with a Cop.
