Douglas Kilton Massey

Douglas Kilton Massey was born December 31, 1941 to George and Florence Massey in Vernal, Utah. He has two brothers, Mark and Jerry and one sister, Margee. They moved to Springville, where he met the love of his life, Louise Ellen Dennis, whom he married on February 27, 1961. They then moved to Provo, Utah where they built the home and family of their dreams. They had three children, Wendy Ellen Spencer, Danny George Massey and Douglas Boyd Massey. He received an honorable discharge from the Navy after serving 5 years. He retired from Geneva Steel after 35 years and stayed home to take care of the ones he loved. He was a patient man and loved all.



Kilt is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mark and his daughter, Wendy. He is survived by his two sons; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and the love of his life Louise.



He passed away on Friday, January 7. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.



Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, UT. Friends and family will be able to pay their last respects at viewings on Monday, January 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. or Tuesday an hour before the funeral services, both at the mortuary. He will be laid to rest in the Provo Cemetery following the services. There will be a luncheon just north of their home at the church on 1020 South 1100 West, which all are invited to join.
