Doris Rowley Thompson was reunited with her loving husband, family members and Heavenly Father on the 27th of January 2015. She was born January 8, 1933 to Nello James and Gladys Zella Giles Rowley.

She married her sweetheart, Cyril Peter Thompson, on March 16, 1951. Together they raised seven children, James (Jan), Allan (Valerie), Linda (David), LynnAnn, Michael (Chris), Steven (Laura) and Jean. Survived by 34 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. She had 3 brothers and one sister, Darlene Condie (Packard) is still living.

She graduated from Springville High School in 1951. She served as Art Queen when she was a sophomore in High School. She performed in plays in high school and MIA.

She served as a Jr. Sunday School teacher, Den Mother, Den Leader for Kolob and Mapleton Stakes, and Relief Society work night coordinator.

She enjoyed playing the organ, oil painting, and attending her childrens' and grandchildren's events.

Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing at the Wheeler Mortuary, 82 W 400 N, Mapleton, Utah on Friday, January 30, 2015, from 6 to 8 P.M. A viewing will also be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Mapleton 17th Ward chapel, 1068 S 1600 W Mapleton, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by the funeral services that will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.

Special thanks to the wonderful individuals who so lovingly cared for her during her last few years.
