Donna Crane, surrounded by her family, died of natural causes on March 1, 2012 at Trinity Mission in Provo, UT. She was born on Christmas Day December 25, 1926 to Raymond Clifton (Tubby) Lewis and Alice Sessions Lewis. She attended High School in Provo, UT.
She married Fred C. Crane of Provo on June 4, 1949. Dad passed away January 14, 2000. Mom and Dad move to Springville in 1959 and are the parents of five children: two sons Ray (Pat) Crane of Springville, Jim (Shelley) Crane and three daughters Judy (Steve) Jenkins, of Mapleton; Connie (deceased), and Kathy (Keith) Rasmussen of Lyman, Wyoming. She has 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother Ray Harding Lewis of Brigham City.
She loved being a mom and grandmother. Mom and Dad were avid square dancers with her brother, and friends. They also enjoyed bowling and ping pong. Some of her hobbies were knitting, crochet, needle work, and making ceramic dolls. Mom was a volunteer as a pink lady at Utah Valley Hospital and had 13 foster children. She was a member of the LDS Church. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile. She enjoyed talking with everyone and will be greatly missed. Donna really was a shining star, during her last 4 years at Trinity Mission in Provo. She had a spirit about her that made their jobs of caring for her a pleasure. Trinity truly made our mothers last years a home away from home.
Funeral will be held at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, UT, Monday March 5, 2012 at 1pm with a viewing from 11:30 to 12:30 pm.
