DeLoris LeEtta Westman Combs Percy, age 93, died of natural causes Oct 30, 2014. Born in a sod house outside of Callaway, Custer County, NE, 21 July, 1921 to Almer Nathaniel Westman and Alma E Anderson. Married Howard Blaine Combs, deceased, one daughter Shari Combs Palmer. Married Howard Harold Percy deceased, one son James Marvin Percy.

Mother had a wide variety of work, hobbies & interests throughout her long life: "number one helper on the farm as a child of the Depression". After graduating 8th grade, she moved to North Platte, working as a house maid, baby sitter, waitress, & tele-type operator for the Postal Telegraph Company.

The family of four moved from a farm south of Paxton, NE to UT in 1961; first living in Maeser. In Jan, 1962, DeLoris joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints & became a life-long enthusiast of genealogy, typing reams of pages of family names on her little Royal typewriter. She loves the Lord & serving & giving to others. The family moved to Heber City, UT when James was in High School. She helped build, & owned & operated a dry cleaning-laundromat business there. She later managed a Plaster Craft store in Orem, UT teaching painting on kiln-fired plaster & taking oil painting on canvas classes for years.

DeLoris loves people in general & children in particular. Always a gardener, she especially enjoys flowers, but ballroom dancing is probably her favorite pastime.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Harry, died 11 April, 1925. One sister, Alice Marie McKenna Wolford, 21, Aug, 2010.

DeLoris is survived by one daughter Shari (Blaine) Palmer, one son James Marvin (Kathy Jo) Percy, 5 grandchildren: LeAnne (Shawn) Mahoney, Trenton Percy, Jeremiah (Jessika) Percy, Blaine Percy, Rebecca (Rob) Cox, 6 gr grandchildren: Megan Mahoney, Madelynn Percy, Teah & Bridger Percy, Gabriel & Katherine Cox. One sister, Veneda (Don) Pearson of Farmington, NM & one brother Harold (Barbara) Westman of North Glenn, CO & and many wonderful nieces & nephews.

Services will be held Mon, Nov 3 @ 11:00 am @ Hobble Creek 8th Ward, 2379 E River Bottom Rd (1100 S.) Springville. Viewing will be prior to the services in the Relief Society room from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Burial will be Tues, Nov 4 @ 11:00 am in Maeser Fairview Cemetery.

We give special thanks to all who worked & cared for Mother at Art City Nursing, Reid's Park Place Assisted Living, & Central Utah Veterans Home these past 3 years.
