Delora Lou Mann Blanchard

Our wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on August 28, 2011 from complications following surgery. Ducky was born on March 2, 1937 in Springville, UT to Alden and Vanza Mann. She married Wayne Blanchard on July 13, 1957 in Springville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She cherished her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ.



She spent her life in Springville serving family, friends, and neighbors. She was a great example to her children and grandchildren and taught them the value of service and hard work.



Ducky had many talents and some of her favorite things included going out to dinner with friends, working in her immaculate yard, quilting, sewing, serving a Mission with her eternal companion at the Bishop's Storehouse, four wheeling, boating at Lake Powell, participating in her clubs, and spending time with her family.



She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of 54 years; children Gary (Lisa) of Clinton, UT, Kim (Jon) Mageno of Springville and Kathy (Kip) Strohecker of Pagosa Springs, CO. She has 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister, Lois (Richard) Tucker, brother, Bruce Mann, sister-in-laws Margaret Lundell Hill and Judy Barker, and many nieces and nephews.



She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Verleene Steppe.



Friends may call on Thursday, Sept. 1st from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler's Mortuary in Springville and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday at the church. The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 2nd at the Heritage Building 1785 East 400 South Springville at 11:00 a.m.
