Darlene B. (Ramsey) Long

Darlene B. Long, age 80 of Mapleton, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015. She was born January 3, 1935 in Illinois to Jessie Taylor Ramsey and Orbley Otto Ramsey. She married Sylvester F. Long on July 20, 1951. He preceded her in death June 22, 2006.
Darlene enjoyed crocheting, reading, old Western and suspense movies, and was a huge fan of Elvis and the Beach Boys. Mostly, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. She was an amazing mom, nana, wife and friend.
Darlene is survived by her three children: Gail Long-Johnson, Kevin Long, and Tami Charlton; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, UT. There will be a viewing held one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Historic Springville City Cemetery.
