Apple Valley, Utah - Dan K Kunze, 68, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014. Dan was born April 19th 1946 in Springville UT, to Emil George and Donna Ann (Hiatt) Kunze. He married Betty Otter on February 27th 1984 in Clawson UT.
Dan was raised and educated in Springville Utah. He was drafted into the Army in 1967 and honorably served until 1973. He was highly decorated for his bravery and service in Vietnam.
Dan was a millwright by trade and spent 18 years as a supervisor for Utah Power and Light. He enjoyed golfing, jeeping and spending time on the desert shooting and bumming.
Dan is survived by his wife Betty, daughters- LaChelle (Ryan) Aagard, Shannon (Jeff) Nelson, Lisa Danielle Lloyd, Debbie (Terry) Brickey, Melinda John, Pennie (Roy) Langstein, and Laura (James) Tilton. Brothers Wayne (Paula) Kunze, Harold (Denise) Kunze, sister Marianne (Jim) Biesinger, and sister-in-law Darleen Kunze. 18 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by father Emil George, mother Donna Ann and brother Doug.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Wheeler Mortuary 211 E 200 S Springville, UT. Friends may call Thursday, September 25, 2014 between the hours of 6 and 8 and 9:30 to 10:45 before the service at the Wheeler Mortuary. Interment will take place in Historic Springville City Cemetery.
