Colleen Brailsford Holdaway, age 69 of Springville returned to her Heavenly Father and family members on the other side of the veil on Sunday, September 26, 2021. She was born on September 2, 1952, in Provo, UT to Dale Earl and Maurine Ekins Brailsford. She married the love of her life, Bruce Clyde Holdaway on July 11, 1975. They later got sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for all time and eternity. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2004.
Colleen was a loving wife and mother who devoted a lifetime serving her family. She was incredibly generous, caring, and always putting others needs before herself. She loved spoiling her kids along with her dogs, Bella, and Tillie. She enjoyed making herself look and feel pretty. Some of her hobbies include fishing, entering contests, shopping, sewing, going on drives, gardening, and spending time with family. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in her callings.
Colleen is survived by her children: Heath (Vanessa) Holdaway; Bruce (Stephanie) Holdaway; Josh (Karen) Holdaway; Kamyelle (Jacob) Chestnut; Travis (Michelle) Holdaway; Austin (Melissa) Holdaway; 21 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter Toni (Kelly) Day.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the church located at 235 East 550 North, Springville. There will be a viewing held at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
