Colleen Harrison Bushnell

Our Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Colleen Harrison Bushnell, age 74 from Mapleton, Utah, passed away Thursday June 11, 2009 with her loving husband by her side. She was born May 12, 1935 in Castle Gate, Utah to Thomas and Agnes Thorpe Harrison. Colleen grew up in Castle Gate and moved to Mapleton during her senior year where she graduated from Springville High School. She married Stanley Wardell Bushnell on October 15, 1954 in the Manti Temple.



Colleen was very thoughtful and caring and her whole life was dedicated and devoted to her family. She set a great example for everyone to follow. She was a loving and devoted wife to her long time sweetheart and husband of 55 years. Her greatest joy was to attend her children's and grandchildren's birthdays and events. She was very proud of all their accomplishments. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved music and performed solos at different events and was a long time member of the Springville Musettes. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as Ward Librarian, Compassionate Service Leader, in the Relief Society Presidency, the Primary Presidency, as a Primary Teacher and Primary Chorister. Colleen enjoyed spending time serving in the Temple.



Colleen is survived by her husband; her children: Gary (Debra) Bushnell, Kevin (Manon) Bushnell, Greg Bushnell, Karen (Brian) Washburn and Scott (Heather) Bushnell and her sister, Fern (Reed) Peterson of Texas. Colleen has 28 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. All her family will miss her dearly.



Funeral services will be held Monday June 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mapleton 7th Ward Chapel located at 1215 N 1000 W in Mapleton. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 82 W 400 N in Mapleton or Monday, at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
