Colleen Frost Bird, age 72 of Springville, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008. She was born March 14, 1936 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Darrel LaMar Frost and Zelphia Greenhalgh Frost. She married John (Jack) Bird on June 22, 1955 in Spanish Fork. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Colleen was raised and attended schools in Spanish Fork. She was a member of the LDS church and served as a Sunday School teacher. Colleen worked at Ideal Cafe in Spanish Fork and later at Allen's Super Save in Springville. She enjoyed camping, knitting, crocheting and cooking. She especially enjoyed being around her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of Springville, one daughter and one son: Debbie (Kirk) Roberts of Orem; John A. (Michelle) Bird of Springville; 5 grandchildren; and two brothers: Kenneth Frost of American Fork and Lynn Frost of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 860 East 200 North in Springville. There will be a viewing held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville and Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
