Cole Brooks Bench

November 7, 2011 — July 1, 2015

Our little cowboy, Cole Brooks Bench, returned to his Father in Heaven unexpectedly on July 1, 2015 at age 3 1/2 years old.

Cole was born on November 7, 2011 to Brock and Brooke Bench of Mapleton, Utah. He is loved by his siblings Alex "Addy" and Jack "Jackie Boo." His grandparents are Larry and Julie Bench and Donald and Heidi Bleggi, all of Mapleton.

Cole's life is celebrated and remembered as a fun-loving boy whose energy and sense of adventure kept his parents on their toes. Cole's energetic personality, sparkling blue eyes, and contagious smile are unmatched and will be forever etched in the hearts of those who knew him. He loved exploring the outdoors with his family and riding, "Freckles", the horse with his daddy. His smile was always beaming while riding the motorcycle on Jack's lap. His giggle could be heard while jumping on the trampoline and when in the care of his big sister Alex. Cole, lovingly known as Coley-Pokey, Rooster, or Coco, was mama's best pal. He enjoyed following her around the yard, helping in the garden, holding her ponytail, and going on bike rides around the neighborhood.

Cole will be forever in the hearts of his parents, sister, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. “Hugga Mugga, Cole.”

Many thanks to the countless family, friends, and strangers who have reached out to Cole's family. A very special thank you to the Mapleton Emergency Responders and Utah Valley Emergency Room staff for their love and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Cole Brooks Bench Memorial fund at Bank of American Fork for a memorial bench and hitching post in Maple Canyon where Cole and his family created many memories.

A viewing will be held at the Mapleton Stake Center, 970 N 400 E, Mapleton, UT on Monday evening, July 6 from 6 until 8 and Tuesday morning from 9:30 until 10:30.  A Celebration of Cole’s Life will be held at the Mapleton Stake Center on Tuesday, July 7 at 11 am. Interment will be at the Mapleton Cemetery.
