Cody Michael Stansfield

Cody Michael Stansfield, age 37, of Springville, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at his home.  He was born October 11, 1978 in Provo, Utah to Michael and Mary Stansfield, the second of three children.

He received his early education in Cedar City, Utah and Napa, California.  He graduated from Springville High School in 1997 where he lettered in football and wrestling.  He went on to attend classes at Utah Valley University.

He worked in excavation and road construction for many years.  Most recently, he was employed by Sunroc as a foreman.

He loved camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, cars, boating and animals.  He was devoted to his children and his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  He was a beloved son and brother, a dedicated father and a loyal friend.

He is survived by his two sons Orion and Tyse; his parents Michael and Mary Stansfield of Springville; his sister Brooke (Doug) Johnston of Springville; his brother Chris (Whitney) Stansfield of Santaquin; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Russell and Leah Stansfield of Springville and Elton and Nedra Sumner of Provo.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 30 at 11 a.m. in the Hobble Creek Stake Center, 495 So. Canyon Road, Springville.  Friends and family may call at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Sunday, November 29, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to the funeral.  Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
