1943 ~ 2014

Clyde S Morgan passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at his home of natural causes. Clyde was born June 27 th , 1943 to Fawn and Minnie Carol Morgan in Orem, Utah. His childhood was spent having many adventures on Grandview Hill developing eternal friendships. At s eventeen, Clyde was diagnosed with Lupus and told that he could never have children, that he must live a sedate lifestyle, and not expected to live more than a couple of years. In spite of his diagnosis, he moved to Alaska and began working as a fish and game warden.

In the summer of '69, Clyde returned home for vacation and decided to stay after meeting the love of his life, Carol Ann Morgan. On May 18 th , 1973, Clyde and Carol were married in the LDSSalt Lake CityTemple and eventually settled in Mapleton with their three beautiful children. Clyde went to work as a Physician's Assistant in 1981 with Dr. John Mendenhall and his partners. He worked there for 25 years before failing health forced his retirement. His love of people and innate ability to work with his hands helped make the practice what it has become today. Even though Clyde has been retired for less than ten years, patients still ask about him. Clyde also served 25 years as both a volunteer ski patrolman, and scout leader.

Clyde was known for his quick wit, a beloved teacher and as a master of many trades. His talents included hunting, fishing, training birds of prey, jewelry and knife making, and was a patented, successful inventor.

The greatest joys in Clyde's life were his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a great example of his Savior, Jesus Christ's teachings by showing unconditional love to all he knew through countless hours of selfless service. He was a man of honor, a man of love and the ultimate superhero to his family and friends. Clyde is survived by his wife, Carol, three children: Collin Morgan (Wendy), Cameron Morgan (Bridget), Candice Thorpe (Ryan), seven grandchildren, his sisters: Elaine (Ellis), Deanne (Jack), his brother: Gary (Judy) and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Verl.
