Clarence Leland Davies passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 due to complications from a brain injury, surrounded by the love of his family. He lived his life as he believed; as a true follower of Jesus Christ.
Lee was born on March 1, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Paul Jonathan and Veda Lavon Black Davies. After losing his father at a young age, Lee learned the value of hard work and helped support his family. He was on the track and ski teams for both South High and the University of Utah. He served an LDS mission in the Southwest Indian Mission and served honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He met the love of his life, Mildred LaJean Farrer, at a missionary reunion and they were married a few months later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lee graduated from BYU and ten days later moved his family to California and earned his Masters degree at Cal State Fullerton. He was a brilliant man and worked as an Aerospace Engineer. He helped develop cameras that went into space and assisted in the development of many items used by the military. Lee and LaJean raised eight children and taught them the values of hard work and living the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lee served in many church callings, but his favorite was working in the LDS temples and doing name extractions.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his dear wife LaJean. He is survived by his eight children,
