Our beloved Christopher Gene Rumfield passed from this life on January 1, 2021. Christopher was known for his fun-loving and giving soul. Christopher was born 1971 in Riverside, California to Lester Eugene and Carolyn Kay Rumfield. The early years of his life were spent in Las Vegas, Nevada where he attended school. He graduated from Southern Nevada Vocational Technical School, class of 1989. His brother Dave invited him to move to Utah in 2008 where he met and married Anne Ogles. Theirs was a speedy courtship, and each saw a soulmate when they first met. They were married on November 28, 2008 by Anne’s brother David W. Ogles.
Christopher loved having a project to work on. He was a skilled craftsman and personally remodeled their beautiful home. Over several years, he replaced walls, heating, flooring, windows, electrical, and installed crown moldings. He was very resourceful, learning from others the skills he was interested in gaining. He was known for his generosity in helping others with repairs of homes, cars or other projects. He was a talented technician for many years and worked most recently at Larry H. Miller Ford in Draper. He was an ASC Certified Technician and was known for his work ethic and careful attention to detail. He loved biking and was passionate about music. He loved concerts, karaoke and DJ’ing and many family and friends benefited from his amazing talents while sharing his sound system. Christopher became interested in the metaphysical and was an active minister and life coach through the University of Metaphysics Arizona. He loved helping others through spiritual healing.
Christopher leaves behind a loving family: his wife Anne Rumfield and his beloved pomeranians Wasabi and Bluegene; his older brother David Rumfield and sister-in-law Becky; nieces and nephews Kaylee (Eddie); Brianna (Blake); Brandon; Natalie; and Dallen; grandnieces and nephews Mason, Hailey, Beckham, Brielle and Jo; and his extended Ogles family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn and his father Eugene. A viewing will be held this week at Wheeler Mortuary, in Springville, Utah. Due to COVID there will be no formal funeral services. A private family graveside service will be held. Although this is a tragedy, Christopher was able to give four people a second chance at life by donating his heart, kidneys and liver.
