Charles Lynn Hjorth, age 54 of Mapleton, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010. He was born June 8, 1955 in Payson, Utah to Don Carlos and Louise Averett Hjorth. He married Marlene Osborne September 24, 1974 in Vancouver, Washington.
He graduated from Springville High School in 1973. In 1976, he joined his father in the business of Maple Service which installed petroleum equipment for 18 years. He then started his own business, C. H. Services. He owned Charlie's Convenience Store in Mapleton, Charlie's Carwash and then Charlie's Convenience Store in Springville.
One of his life long joys was raising his St. Bernard dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Osborne Hjorth; children: Leslie Butler, Justin (Aubrey), Daniel, Shawn, Samantha (Tanner) George; 4 grandchildren: Braden, Ashlyn, Kaylee and Addison. He is also survived by his sisters: Nolene Sumsion, Ellen Thoreson, and Diane (Steve) Kropf. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Louise Hjorth, brother, Don Hjorth and son-in-law, Jeffery Butler.
