1977 ~ 2012

"Our Son Shine" Chance Rand Webb returned peacefully in his sleep to the loving arms of his Grandpa (Pops) and Grandma (Nana) on Monday, August 27, 2012. Chance Rand Webb, age 35, of Springville was born April 28, 1977, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mickie Kim Stewart and Glen Darrell (Linda) Webb and adored Step-Mother Mary Jo Hoyt.


He was an avid hunter and sometime fisherman beginning at age 4 with his Dad Glen. Many hunting, camping, family outings up Diamond Fork Canyon, which is now known as Stewart Camp, began at age 2 months old. He had a great passion for Little Sahara, Sand Mountain and Easter Weekend get-a-ways beginning at age 2.

He began work at age 10 at a bicycle shop in Spanish Fork to earn his first BMX bicycle. He went on to work for his Grandpa (Pops) for Sol-Art for 8 years. He moved to Cedar City to be with his Dad Glen and was hired by Budweiser the second day upon arrival and worked for them for 5 years. He held several awards including top Sales Route Representative. He moved back to help Grandpa (Pops) and Grandma June build their new Shop and the Stewart Castle in Genola, UT for 3 years. He worked for State Fire for 6 years as a Fire Inspector and earned Employee of the Month on March 2012 and was always the Team Leader.

His passion for dogs began at an early age with Irish Setters named Sweet & Sour, Patty, Mellow and Tycoon. He later developed a love for the Pitbull breed. His "baby", Boomer, and his now pride and joy Bullet "Bill", and Hambone.

He had a great passion beginning at age 6 for restoring cars with Grandpa (Pops). He was an excellent welder, body and fender man. He mastered the art for making something old something new and beautiful. His recent love was the 1987 Chevy 350 Blazer, 1953 Buick, 1949 Merc, (Pops) 1954 Ford Glasstop, 1952 Ford, 1953 Ford, 1955 Oldsmobile, 1971 Mercury Cougar Convertible, 1941 Ford Panel Truck and the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood.

Chance was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, comrade, peace maker and the "Animal". His presence was felt upon his arrival with his contagious laugh and positive attitude; bringing light to those around him.

Chance is survived by his parents Glen Webb (OLD HOMIE), Cedar City, Mickie Stewart (MAMABEAR), Springville; Grandmother Gwena Kitto; Grandmother, June Meyer Stewart; Sisters Sheena Vogel, Bonnie Jo Peterson, Darci Rau, Alexis Porter Hayley Porter, Sadie Mae; Brothers, Scottie Porter, Zachery Porter, Curtis Webb, 6 Uncles and 5 Aunts Stewart side; 19 Cousins, 1 second Cousin McKenzie Cheri-Ann Hoffman (who was the love of his life) Stewart side; 15 Uncles and 12 Aunts Webb side, 46 Cousins Webb side, 2 Nieces and 1 Nephew Webb side. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Burt Stewart (Pops), Grandma Judy James (Nana), Grandfathers, Darrell Webb and Jim Kitto, Uncle Shakey, Cousins, Christian, Roseanna and Angela Rose Ortega.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the Tuesday viewing, September 4th 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South Springville, UT. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will begin at 11am, September 5th 2012, following the one hour viewing starting at 10am at Jolley's Ranch Church Pavilion (Hobble Creek Canyon, Springville, UT). Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be sent at www.wheelermortuary.com.

His genuine personality touched all those who he came in contact with. He is loved by so many that there will be over 30 Honorary Pallbearers at his Celebration of Life.

Momma's heart is broken and will be whole again upon my arrival into his loving arms. Love always, Mamabear, later!!!
