1936~2013
Carvel Brinkerhoff 76, passed away at Utah Valley Hospital on January 11, 2013. He was born May 22, 1936 in Junction, Utah to Bert and Leola Brinkerhoff. He moved to Springville in 1949, and graduated from Springville High School, and married Pat Loftin in 1954, together they have three children who meant the world to him, Becky (deceased) (Gregory Norley) Hall, Carolyn (Todd) Andrus, John (Susann) Brinkerhoff, along with eight grandchildren and nine great�-grandchildren.
Carvel worked at Thorns Construction, and later retired from Geneva Rock. He loved fishing, camping and deer hunting in Hobble Creek Canyon and later enjoyed his cabin in Clear Creek with his family and friends. He always had a vegetable garden at his home and loved a good tomato and cucumber. He most enjoyed following his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in their activities.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, one brother Hal Brinkerhoff of Mapleton and one sister Eloise Forsythe of St. George. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters, and his oldest daughter.
Friends and family may visit Wheeler Mortuary 211 East 200 South Springville, Utah, Monday January 14, 2013 from 2-3 p.m. A graveside service will follow at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers take your loved ones to dinner.
