Carmen Louise Clark was born to Wanda Louise Olson and Howard S. Clark on September 23. 1941. Carmen was born at home in the old Kelly Crandall Swiss residence at the south end of Springville. She departed this earth life on October 9, 2010 at Provo, Utah.
Carmen graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1960 and L.D.S. Seminary. She received a BS Degree from B.Y.U. in 1966.
Carmen worked as a Social Worker for seventeen years and then went on a L.D.S. mission to Manchester, England. Upon her return she worked for B.Y.U. Food Services for ten years serving students at Cannon Center and the L.D.S. Missionary Training Center.
Carmen traveled extensively to Italy, Switzerland, France, Hawaii and many other U.S. States. She played the accordion and organ and used her talents to serve in Primary and at social functions. Carmen had a strong testimony of the Savior and enjoyed doing Temple work.
She is survived by her brother David 0. Clark (Jeanie Clark) and sister Marie Fillmore (Greg Fillmore). She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephew and many loyal friends and neighbors.
Carmen was especially grateful to the Relief Society sisters of the Spring Creek 6th Ward for their love and devotion. She also was appreciative of the care she received at the Canterbury Assisted Living Center and for the compassion of those who worked at the Trinity Mission Care Center in Provo.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek 6th Ward at 860 East 200 North in Springville. There will be a viewing held at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
