Carl Watson Lopez

On Tuesday afternoon, November 6, 2007 surrounded by his family, our dad, husband, brother, grandpapa and uncle left this life. He was greeted by his parents Oscar and Allean Lopez and his favorite homemade pie and bread with fresh bottled fruit. He was born on February 13, 1933 in Provo, Utah. He grew up in Springville, Utah. He married Patsy Lansing and they were later divorced. He married Janeane Williams who preceded him in death. And spent the past happy 18 years with Sandy McMeekin.



He was very proud of his service in the US Navy. He was a past president of the Provo F.O.E. 2924. He is survived by his loving companion, Sandy; his loving brother, Jerry (Sylvia) Lopez; his children: Sherry Searle, Carla Lopez (Liddiard), Jim (Kim) Lopez, Chuck (Sandy) Lopez, Nate (Stacy) McMeekin, Kim Williams; as well as 16 grandkids and 6 ½ great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Garry Searle and his dog, Bo.

There will be a viewing held Friday, November 9, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville. Graveside services with military honors will be held Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
