Calista Rene Jones Fowkes
January 2, 1986 — July 12, 2009
Calista Rene (Jones) Fowkes, 23, passed away Sunday July 12, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Our sweet wife, daughter, sister and friend was born January 2, 1986 to John and Jody Jones in Ellensburg, WA.
Cali earned the name "Bossy Boots" from her four brothers being the only girl. She graduated from Seminary, Box Elder High School, and was actively involved in Palace Playhouse.
She was a student at Utah State University when she met Benjamin Dale Fowkes. They were married March 14, 2006 in the Jordon River Temple.
She was a fighter with an unbroken will. Never complaining, always determined to give life everything she had with a positive attitude.
Survived by her loving husband Ben, her parents John and Jody Jones, brothers Frank, Joseph, Andrew and Patrick, grandparents Bill and Sally Robins of Elk Heights, Washington, as well as many other family members including her nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
Services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 12 noon in the chapel located at 25 N. 300 E. Brigham City, UT. Friends may call at Gillies Mortuary, 634 E. 200 S. Wednesday evening from 6 8 pm and Thursday at the church from 10:30 am to 11:30 am prior to church services.
