Our beloved father, grandfather, husband and friend, Bud Elvin Reid, passed away peacefully at his home in Payson, Utah on August 30, 2014 surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on May 31, 1925 in Bloomfield, New Mexico to William Reid and Katherine McDaniel. He is one of thirteen siblings. He married Chlodene Margaret Swapp on December 1, 1950. They were blessed with three sons, Robert, Willie, and Matt. His sweet wife, Chlodene passed away on September 10, 2000. He later married Jean Eddins on February 23, 2002.

Bud proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a love for farming and taught us all to be hard-working, honest and the value of serving others. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife Jean, three sons: Robert (Judy); Willie (Shauna); Matt (Rylee); step daughter: Francine Anderson (Brandon); 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Chlodene Margaret Swapp Reid.

The family thanks ICare Home Health and Hospice for their very kind and gentle care of Bud. The family also extends a very special thank you to hospice nurse, Janine, for her gentle and loving care of Bud during his final hours.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 8th at the West Mountain 4 th ward church located at 5237 West 10400 South, Payson at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7th at the West Mountain 4 th ward church or from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville.
