Brittney Ann (Melgoza) Barney

Brittney Ann Melgoza Barney, Age 24 of Springville, Utah Passed away May 10th of 2021. Brittney was born April 13th, 1997 in Payson, Utah. She was married to Dano Barney on June 13th of 2020.

Brittney was a very selfless person even at a young age, she always worried about others before herself, especially when it came to her family. She lived her life on memories made with her friends and family, she would always remind everyone of all the fun she had at past events with family and friends. She would always leave notes around the house telling her family members how much they meant to her and how much she loved them.

At a very young age Brittney dreamed of becoming a mother, she loved kids and in fact would jump in to play with them and be a kid herself, she also loved working with special needs children. Brittney’s proudest moment of her life was becoming a mother and fulfilling her life dream, not only once but twice with two wonderful boys. Motherhood came natural for Brittney she aced the roll without even trying.

Brittney also loved the out-doors, including hunting, fishing, camping, and shooting, just as long as she was with friends, and family she was happy.

Brittney is survived by her husband Dano Barney, two handsome sons Karson Wiley and Colby Crosby. Parents: Kenny and Angela Laird, Father: Maurilio Melgoza, Brothers: Rylee Melgoza, Cody Olsen, Sam Laird, Chris Laird, and Dustin Laird, Sister: Nicole Laird. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and life-long friends.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 9:00 am-10:30 am at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville which will be immediately followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am at Springville Evergreen Cemetery 1997 East 400 South, Springville.
