Boyd Ray McClellan was born June 5, 1938 in Charleston, Utah, and passed away peacefully on August 12, 2012 at his home. He graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City. He served an honorable mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Western States Mission, where he met the love of his life, Nancy Juanita Cox. They were married for time and all eternity on June 30, 1961 in the Los Angeles Temple. Nancy passed away just two weeks earlier. Boyd missed her greatly and longed to be with her again.

He served briefly in the U.S. Army and worked as an accountant and jeweler early in his life. He ran several successful businesses and had retired from R.C. Willey home furnishings in 2011. He was an avid sports and Atlanta Braves fan and loved to talk about baseball. He loved going to sporting events and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his tender heart and dedicated service to his family and others.

He had a strong testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and left a wonderful legacy for his family. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Nancy Juanita Cox McClellan, as well as his parents, Jasper Ray McClellan and Rula Price McClellan, and his brother, Rulon McClellan. He is survived by his 5 children, daughters, Christine Dalton, Deborah Roberts, Lauri Rex and Rebecca McClellan and his son Michael Ray McClellan. He is also survived by his brothers, Keith J. McClellan, Jay R. McClellan, and Dale R. McClellan. He is grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren who will miss their grandpa very much.

We will miss our father, grandfather and brother. We know that we will see him again and that he has been reunited with his sweetheart for eternity. We will miss you, dad!

A public viewing for friends and family will be held at Wheeler Mortuary, Tuesday, August 14, from 12:00pm-1:00pm. A private family graveside service will follow.
