Bonnie Payson, age 73, passed away May 14, 2013. She was born March 24, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Scott Lawson and Sarah Lucille Davies. She had 2 sisters, Margie Ware and Ha Stewart and two brothers, James Lawson and John Lawson. Within a year her family relocated to West Hollywood where she grew up. On December 4, 1959 she married Thomas Frederick Payson. They enjoyed over 53 years of marriage. They had 4 children, Robert Payson, Jennifer Payson Davis, John Payson and Kristen Payson Barsch. She raised her children in Simi Valley and Corona, California. In 2009 they moved to Springville, Utah. Bonnie filled her whole life with service; she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many callings. She loved her family and her friends. She enjoyed gardening, antiques, hand quilting, sewing and decorating her home. She was preceded in death by her brother James, sister Margie and grandson Andrew. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom, and her children, Bob (Svetlana), Jennifer (Jamie), John, Kristen (Wulf) and her grandchildren, Ammon (Amanda), Richard, Trevor, Polina, Garrett, Katelyn (Ty), Elizabeth, and Thalia.
Special thanks to Nancy and Stacy who helped her family take good care of Bonnie. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Springville 9th Ward Chapel located at 878 W Center Street, Springville, Utah. Burial will be in the Springville City Cemetery.
