Bodhi Crapo Allan

April 13, 2012 — February 3, 2017

Our precious Love Bug, Bodhi Crapo Allan, 4, returned to his Heavenly Father on February 3, 2017.
Bodhi was born Friday April 13, 2012 in Orem, UT to Karl and Jayci Allan.  He lived with his Momma and Dadda and sister Reese Aspen in Springville, UT.  Bodhi was loved by all that knew him.  He made friends so easily and had friends of all ages.  He was a precocious, witty, wise, joyful child.  He loved robots (especially robot vacuums and Wow Wee robots), sensors, motherboards, our security system, and anything electrical.  He once said, “Mom, I’m an electronics guy.”  He loved to build with his legos and random parts from anything electronic that broke.  He once hammered apart an old vacuum and was just waiting for our hair dryer to go out.  We also have an air conditioning unit he built that is now hot glued to the side of our house.  He loved to cook with his mom and make his own “cooking inventions” and would follow his dad around to help fix anything around the house.  He was such a good big brother and was so loving with Reese.  They loved to play, swim, build forts, and dance together.  He had the vocabulary of an adult and it was a joy to listen to his stories.
His name, Bodhi, means “awakened” or enlightenment”, and he truly was a light to everyone and brought so much joy and laughter to our lives.  He will be dearly missed and we look forward to the sweet reunion we will have with him.  We know our separation is only temporary and we are so grateful for eternal families.
Bodhi is survived by his parents, Karl and Jayci Allan and sister Reese Aspen of Springville, UT; Grandparents; J. Kent and Donna Crapo, Flowell, UT; Grandmother Nancy Livingston Allan, Springville, UT. Aunts and Uncles; Jeremy (Heather) Crapo, Deseret, UT; Adam (Brittney) Crapo, Orem, UT; Howard (Katie) Allan, Deforest, WI; Julie Allan, Lindon, UT; Tiffany (James) Taylor, Orem, UT; Talia (Troy) Strong, Lindon, UT.  He is also survived by his cousins, whom he adored; Hunter, Brock, Morgan, Maverick, Krew, Ramzy, Iver, Makayla, Jordan, Kessly, Alie B, and Dylan.
Proceeded in Death by his Grandfather H. Jerry Allan, Uncle J. Chandler Allan, Aunt Tahitia Allan.
We invite all who knew Bodhi and his family to help celebrate his life at a viewing held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6-8pm and Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 9-10:30am at the Dry Creek Stake Center at 1157 W 900 S, Springville, UT.  Funeral services will be held following the viewing on Wednesday at 11am.
Interment at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, UT.
Bodhi loved to share the gospel and looked forward to one day serving a mission.  In fact, one of his favorite lines was from a primary song that says, “I want to tell my friends about the church, and the happiness it brings to me”.  We’ve felt Bodhi’s sweet spirit around us and have felt strongly that in lieu of any donations to our family, we ask that you please donate to your local ward missionary fund in Bodhi’s name.
We sincerely thank all those that have helped us through this difficult time; all of our wonderful friends, family, our caring neighbors in the Pheasant Valley Ward and Dry Creek Stake, our dear friends and colleagues at work along with the executive team at Vivint.  We appreciate all those that have reached out to us and for all the prayers and fasting on our behalf – we couldn’t get through this without each of you.  We have been carried by the spirit of our Heavenly Father and we know it is because of your loving support.  We love you all.
