Blanche Marie Clegg Peay

Our sweet mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Blanche Marie Clegg Peay age 93 and lifelong resident of Springville, Utah passed away peacefully on July 24, 2011 in her own home surrounded by her children. She married Grant Ferron Peay (deceased) on May 12, 1940. Marie's three children Deanna (Arnie), Robert (Mary Jo) and Debra (Joe) had the privilege of taking care of her in her home during her final months. We are grateful for this special time that we had to be with mom.



We will forever cherish the many interesting things that she told us about her life. She never lost her sense of humor. We could still make her laugh until she cried and then we would all laugh and cry together. As her memory faded our roles changed, we were parents and mom was the child. She had our love and devotion to the very end.



We will miss her deeply but we know that she is reunited with members of her loving family who have gone on before her: Israel Eastham and Laura Elizabeth Clegg (father and mother), sisters Grace, Hilda, Laura, Leona and Mildred; along with four grandsons - Michael Rigtrup, Robert Dale Peay, Kevin Peay and Chad Peay. She was the mother of three children, fourteen grandchildren and thirty-two (soon to be 33) great-grandchildren.



We would like to thank the wonderful people at Intermountain Home Care Hospice for the kind and gentle way in which they cared for mom. We really appreciated their help.



As per her wishes, there will be no public viewing. Graveside services will be held on Thursday July 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary. Mom will always be loved and never forgotten.
