Blair S. Kenney
September 2, 1927 — September 11, 2008
Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Blair S. Kenney passed away in Redlands, CA. on September 11, 2008 at the age of 81 surrounded by his family.
He was born September 2, 1927 in Fillmore, Utah.
He served in the army during the occupation of Japan after WWII for 18 months.
After returning home from Japan he was called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Eastern States Mission from 1948 1950.
Blair taught special education in Redlands, California for 36 years and retired at the age of 71.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Hunter Kenney; children: Kathy (Dave) Anderson, David (Carita) Kenney, Janet (Jared) Christensen, Joyce (Lynn) Evans, and Julie (Mark) Munger; brother, Karl (Alene) Kenney; 27 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 20, 2008 at the LDS Chapel at 860 E. 200 N. in Springville, Utah. Viewing will begin at 10:00 am with funeral at 11:00 am. Burial will be at the Fillmore, Utah Cemetery.
