Betty Mae Hamilton

November 8, 1935 — August 5, 2007

Betty Mae Hamilton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, returned to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 5th in Springville, Utah, surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty was born November 8, 1935 in Austin, Texas, where she grew up next to and married her childhood sweetheart George K. (Scotty) Hamilton in 1954. After working for over 20 years, Betty chose to focus on her family and become a full time homemaker.

Among Betty's greatest contributions were her willingness to serve, her endless energy, and her love of life. All who knew her were drawn to these qualities as she willingly gave of her time and talents at any opportunity. Through the years, she supported her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors, often being the number one fan at any event her family participated in. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Betty fulfilled many callings and enjoyed serving the Lord with all of her heart.

Betty is survived by her husband, Scotty Hamilton; two daughters: Terri (David) Shuler of Payson and Lesli (Todd) Baker of Mapleton; seven grandchildren: Joseph (AmberLee) Shuler, Jacob (Cassandra) Shuler, Joelle Shuler, Jessica Shuler, Julia Shuler, Jennifer Baker and Jocelyn Baker; and three great-grandchildren: Deryck Shuler, Jaivri Shuler, and Alyssia Shuler.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek 1st Ward Chapel at 860 East 200 North in Springville. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery.
