Betty Lavonne Brown Green

d. September 15, 2013

1927 ~ 2013

Betty Lavonne Brown Green, 86, of Springville, Utah passed away peacefully, to be with her eternal sweetheart, Lavell, on September 15, 2013. Betty was born on July 1, 1927, in San Bernardino, California, the daughter of Webb King Brown and Iris Idell Bresslin. She was the second of eight children and enjoyed a happy childhood with her loving family. Betty and her siblings remained close throughout their lives and she had fond memories of sister reunions and sibling cruises.

Betty met Lavell when she was just thirteen years old and she knew he would be important to her, and he was! Lavell and Betty married in the St. George LDS Temple on November 9, 1946. They enjoyed 64 years together, and are parents to six children; Dennis Lavell, (Debbie) of Richland Washington, Timothy Webb (Susan) of San Bernardino, California, Dayna Tanner ( John) of Springville, Utah, Mark Randall (Wendy) of Yucaipa, California, Steven Rawlston (Ashley) of Richland, Washington and Shelly Jenkins (Darren ) of Yucaipa, California. Betty cherished her 31 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren, and they adored their Grana. Grana never missed a birthday or holiday and her sweet gifts and cards will always be remembered.

Betty graduated from San Bernardino High School and attended BYU. She was an accomplished painter, poet, choreographer, interior designer, vocalist and lover of the fine arts. Betty shared her talents with her family and through church callings and community activities. She especially enjoyed singing with her sisters. Betty was an avid fan of the Utah JAZZ! She watched every game on television and loved a yearly outing to Energy Solutions Arena with her sons. She also followed professional tennis, golf, and Dancing with the Stars!
Our mother loved her Heavenly Father and found strength and peace through daily prayer. The love for her family was and is truly unconditional and she prayed for them daily, wanting more than anything for them to be happy.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Lavell, her parents, five siblings, and one grandbaby. We love you dear Friend, Aunt, Sister, Grana and Mother. Your kindness, generosity and absolute love will ever be remembered.

Services will be held Saturday, September 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS chapel at 1785 East 400 South, Springville Utah, with a viewing from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
