Berton M. Andreasen passed away at his home in Springville, Utah on Tuesday August 07, 2018. He was born in Red Mountain, CA on April 24, 1930. The family later moved to the Ridgecrest, CA area. He attended Burroughs High School where he met his sweetheart Mary Beth. They were married in Las Vegas in 1949 and then later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on March 23, 1950.
They lived in the Ridgecrest area for over 30 years and raised four children. He loved bowling and fast pitch softball. He would practice pitching for hours with his wife and brothers catching for him. He and his family spent many nights on the NWC Navy base watching him pitch, he loved softball. He traveled with many teams during his playing years. He was the first to be inducted into the Naval Weapons Center Sports Hall of Fame.
Berton and Mary Beth later moved to Utah after his retirement from China Lake NWC in 1977. He loved BYU sports and was an avid supporter.
He served in many callings in the LDS Church. He loves his Savior and tried to live the gospel to the fullest.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, parents, one brother, one sister, one grandchild and one great grandchild. He is survived by his 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and 2 brothers.

Burt, Bonnie, Lisa, and Yancy. Dad says “Thank You” to Steven Roccazzella, of The Refinery Barber Shop for the in-home haircuts and shaves.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday August 11, 2018 at the Springville 3rd Ward, 55 N Main Springville, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday morning. The public viewing will be held Friday evening form 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. Springville, Utah. Internment will be held at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
