Craig Hardy 56 Passed away June 22 2011. He was born on July 13 1954 to R. Blaine Hardy and Elizabeth (Beth) M. Hardy. Craig was married April 15 1998 to Ruth Hardy.
Craig attended Dixie College out of High School, and graduated from Utah Technical College. He delivered milk, and worked as supervisor of Circulation at the Daily Herald to support his growing family. He ran his own locksmithing business and followed his father to Geneva steel until its closing. He then went to UVSC and started working as Stockroom Leadman at Flowserve.
Craig lived his entire life in Springville where he enjoyed building many different outdoor items, collecting rusty antiques and keeping La Casita's doors open. He got the family together once a month for BBQ's where he showed off all of his hard work in the yard and shared his homebrewed beer.
Craig was a fun loving man with a love for life, and people. He was loved by all, and always made everyone laugh with his endless jokes. He was a craftsman and a handyman. He was kind, caring, honest, hardworking, and always willing to lend a hand. He was the greatest husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Craig enjoyed golfing, bowling, and his yearly trip to Grand Junction for the Country Jam. Craig loved his kids and grandkids. He never missed a game, theater performance, graduation, school program, or anything else his family was involved in. He loved the Art City Days parade and fireman's breakfast. Craig played the part of Santa Claus and Smokey the Bear at Kmart's "shop with a cop".
Craig is survived by his wife Ruth, his sisters Cindy (Bruce) Snow, and Susan (Keith) Stutznegger. His children: Shay (Carey), Mariah, Cecily, Trevor (Shayla), Gavin, Jalene (Dave), Chris, Joe (Amanda), and Heather (Jake). His 12 Grandchildren with another on the way. His first wife Kelly Crockett. He is preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a viewing held at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th at the mortuary with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name at any Utah Community Credit union branch.
